Thailand Elite Visa (Thailand Privilege): tiers, prices and who qualifies

A paid membership in a Thai state programme that comes with a 5-year Privilege Entry visa and stays of up to 1 year per entry. Five tiers, from THB 650,000 to THB 5,000,000. We help applicants from Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries check their case and apply.
What you actually buy
The programme is run by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., a state enterprise whose only shareholder is the Tourism Authority of Thailand. It was called Thailand Elite until 2023, when it was renamed and the membership tiers were rebuilt.
You sign a membership agreement for 5 years on the entry tiers and up to 20 years on Reserve. The visa in your passport is valid for 5 years; on the longer tiers it is re-issued within the membership term. So a "20-year visa" is not quite right: the contract runs for 20 years, the visa inside it runs in 5-year blocks.
Thailand Privilege Pass cards (Lite, Lifestyle, Beyond, Corporate) are one-year lifestyle memberships and carry no visa at all, whatever the advert says.

Five tiers, one visa
Every tier gives the same PE visa. They differ in membership length, in Privilege Points you spend on health checks, spa and other services, and in whether family members can join. Prices include VAT and are paid once; the current tiers have no annual fee.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
The only financial condition is the fee itself. What the programme checks is your past, against records of the Royal Thai Police, the Immigration Bureau and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It suits you if
- you want long stays in Thailand without proving income, savings or a job every year;
- a month at a time is not enough: since 15 September 2026 Russians can stay up to 30 days without a visa (the 60-day exemption was cancelled), while a PE visa allows up to 1 year per entry;
- you would rather not buy mandatory health insurance: the programme does not ask for it;
- you are already in Thailand: you can apply from inside the country, which the DTV does not allow;
- you want to bring parents, a spouse or children: family members can be added from Platinum up.
Look elsewhere if
- you need to work in Thailand: the membership gives no work rights;
- you have had more than one overstay in Thailand in the past three years;
- you have a prison sentence in any country (other than for negligence) or a bankruptcy;
- price matters most: other long-stay visas cost far less than THB 650,000.
How the application runs
Applications go online or through the programme's agents, including from inside Thailand.

Application and a THB 50,000 fee
Paid by bank transfer or deposit only, not by card. It counts towards the membership fee if you are approved.

Background check
The programme states a decision within 2 months on its tier pages; its family page mentions one to three months.

Membership fee
Invoiced only after approval and due within 30 days. Miss the deadline and the application fee is lost.

Visa in your passport
The certification letter is valid for 90 days. The visa is affixed on arrival at Bangkok, Phuket or Chiang Mai airports, at the Chaeng Watthana Immigration Bureau, or at a Thai embassy where local rules allow it.
What we do for you

Tell us your nationality, how many passports you hold and whether you have ever overstayed in Thailand. That is enough for us to spot anything the background check may trip on and to suggest a sensible tier.
Our fee is quoted after the call; it depends on the tier and on how many family members apply. In our experience as of September 2026 the whole process takes 4 to 8 weeks, but the programme's check can take longer. The programme runs it itself: its tier pages give up to 2 months, its family page one to three months.
